Glowing bright, amidst millions of scars,
Millions together, but miles apart,
Every night, they have a fresh start.
When a ship is lost, they are blamed,
On a rainy day, they are first to be tamed,
In desperate times, they have to keep hope ajar,
Only night knows, pain of the stars.
They can't even, cry out in the open,
For their beauty is highly spoken,
Their only solace is from clouds afar,
Only night knows, pain of the stars.
In sun's light, they appear bright,
But, to meet the sun, they never get any flight,
Before sun rise, the dawn drifts them far,
Only night knows, pain of the stars.
If I am star, you are the night,
Only you know, my struggle and fight,
Sad inside, outside I act as a czar,
Only night knows, pain of the stars.
I have cried, hidden behind the closet,
In open, I have shone as a comet,
In this world which is a human bazaar,
Only night knows, pain of the stars.
