Sea in My Eyes

I have hidden a sea in my eyes,
For, who knows when the throat will feel dry,
Life is a long journey through many tries,
So, every drop of liquid saved as a prize.

Life has many tricks that often surprise,
Learning from them, I have surely grown wise,
So, I have kept in my eyes, a stock of supplies,
Who knows when the pain will need to be advertised.

Through thick and thin, I have never ever cried,
With shores often, as waves I collide,
Who knows but when the boat would finally capsize,
So, I have hidden a sea in my eyes.

Through the turbulent tides, you and I allied,
The guiding stars but to us lied,
I lost you, but you are always my pride,
Who knows but when the cheeks would get dried.

For those times, the sea is kept in my eyes,
There are but waves that rise with every sunrise,
My lips but curve into a smile to disguise,
The pain of you stays in this sea surmised.
