I still remember the day, when you were just mine,
There was just love; pure, selfless, without any line,
When with each other, our times and moments defined,
And, our love was our food, water and wine.
The moments when we used to talk to each other,
Our souls danced, in the music of love, together,
We were far, but always, were closest forever,
If I was the Sun, you were my cloud cover.
When burning the whole day, I used to get tired,
Wandering the sky, I searched for a place to retire,
You were the cloud and covered me with your shroud,
Every moment within you, I slept and rested aloud.
Then came a day, when the destiny played a trick,
The world conspired against us, with carrot and stick,
For years, we both had wounds, that we had to lick,
Only we know, how we have felt, weak and sick.
Now, I know, we are with someone else as their prime,
Spiritually but, we are still together singing that rhyme,
I know, there won’t be ever the same old time,
But, loving you is never gonna be a crime.
Now, I wish for just for one moment in my lifetime,
One little moment, which will be just our time,
I wish to be one with you, one soul, one body, one spine,
For that one moment, I want to commit this crime.
I know now, if I am the Sun, You are far like the moon,
The day and night never meets, but can only sing the same tune,
But, I wish now, for one moment, you become the cloud again,
Before I rest forever, give me that shroud again.
For in that one moment, I will live my whole life,
I will forget, in the moment, all my tiredness and strife,
For you my darling, has always been mine,
By your love, I have always been defined.
