I am a man, but you made me the man, O’ woman!
Even before my first breath, you know me, O’ woman!
I was almost lost in search of home,
And, you gave me your womb as kingdom, O’woman!
I fed myself on your blood and food, O' woman!
Yet you smiled with joy when I kicked your abdomen,
Not a day, but for nine months, you took all my pain,
Yes, I am a man, but, you made me the man, O’ woman!
When I took shape, ready to face the world,
Happily you cut your cord, to pave my road, O’ woman!
As I cried in hunger, you even gave me ur breast, O’ woman!
I know I am a man, but you made me the man, O’ woman!
Roles changed from mother to sister, to cousins, to niece
You took all for giving me comfort and made sacrifice, O’ woman!
And when I grew up, in the world so cold, O' woman!
You became my wife and even gave up your name, O’ woman!
Oh! countless are your efforts, and contributions, O' woman!
Yes, I am a man, but you made me the man. O' woman!
A man, who is a sum, sum total of all of you, O' woman!
If I am strong, you are my strength, O' woman!
Yes! I am a man, but you made me the man, O' woman!
